The Holiday

Although there was an unprecented amount of traffic through the town during the holiday no accident occurred.

Heavy bookings were recorded at the Buntingford L.N.E.R. station on Monday evening, when visitors to the town and surrounding villages returned to London.

The long train seemed taxed to its utmost, and it is believed that the number travelling by it consituted a record for Easter Monday.

One of the incidents of the holiday was the large number of pigeons liberated at the railway station and from motor vans on the roadside.
