Allenburys v. Aspenden

Played at Park Road, Ware, on Saturday last, Allenburys defeated Aspenden by five goals to one in a clean and sporting game.

Aspenden scored first, but a penalty again them for hands soon put the 'Bury level.

Soon afterwards the Aspenden left half, in trying to stop a shot, had the misfortune to put through his own goal. Allenburys added two more goals before half-time.

The second-half was very evenly contested, with Aspenden doing most of the pressing, but unable to score.

Just before the end the 'Bury added one more to their lead by a fine long shot.
